Craft / Floral Crown

Hello!

Floral-Crown-1Isn’t May one of the best months? The gateway between spring and summer, May is full of end-of-the year activities, the first summer BBQ, pretty dresses, and, of course, flowers! To celebrate how awesome May is, our dolls are spotting this pretty floral crown. We used daisies as our inspiration! Making one is easy-peasy, and you’ll be done in about a half hour.

TO MAKE…

First, you will need to create four to five paper daisies. For each one, complete the following steps.

Paper-Daisy-How-To

  1. Trace a small circular object on your paper.
  2. Cut it out and lightly trace a smaller circle in the middle.
  3. Divide the circle into eights, using the circle in the middle as a guide.
  4. Cut down the lines you drew in Step Three, making sure not to cut past the middle circle!
  5. Fold each section in half.
  6. Turn it over, and tape a small circle from yellow construction paper in the middle.

Paper-DaisiesOnce you have four or five, you’re ready to move on!

Pipe-CleanersTwist your two pipe cleaners together, and attach them at the end with tape. They should be long enough to rest lightly on your doll’s head.

Pipe-Cleaners-2You’re almost done! Finally, attach your flowers to the pipe cleaners with tape.

IMG_2693Doesn’t Hannah look adorable? We think she is ready to frolic in the fields :) If you’re crown is not staying on, use bobby pins or other clips to keep it in place.

Have fun crafting!

Psst. If you have sent us a message in the past couple days, we will reply to you as soon as possible! There has been a lot of interest here lately, and we are just catching up.
