Monthly Recap / January 2014

Hi!

Monthly Recap January 2014{clipart via here!}

January was a whirlwind of a month, wouldn’t you agree? We haven’t done a monthly recap in quite a while, but Lulu and I figured the first month of a new year would be a good time to start the feature up again. Let’s take a look at all the fun we had here at Doll Mag this month, superlative style! :)

Doll Mag January February 2014 IssueMost Read-Worthy: We released a new issue this month, with the always lovely Zoey gracing the cover. Inside, you’ll find an interview with the new GOTY, Isabelle Palmer, crafts for Valentine’s Day, hairstyles to rock all winter long, and of course, much, much, more!

IMG_0982Best Behind-the-Scenes: Our weekly feature, Working on Wednesdays, returned this month, giving all of our readers a peek behind all of the work that goes into Doll Mag! We shared some great snapshots, but Lulu and I are still amazed at how much doll clothing we own in this Working on Wednesdays. It was nice to get organized before starting any big new projects.

Working on Wednesdays 14The Best of Friends: The two latest additions to our ever-growing family were Meatloaf, from American Girl, and Ever After High Doll Grace! They seem to like each other a lot; it must be that they coordinate with their matching blue accessories/outfits :)

January 2014 LikesReader’s Favorite: One of the most popular post this month was my thoughts on the new American Girl releases. I don’t have any definite plans to buy anything from this latest release, as I am waiting for the early spring sets to come out. What about you? You can also catch Lulu’s thoughts here!

Ever After High / Monster High StyleMost Fashionable: Lulu wrote up two style posts this month, but her latest round-up was my personal favorite. We are definitely not experts at buying homemade Monster High and Ever After High clothes, but we did find some stylish choices that are gorgeous to look at, if not buy.

Bri LogoBest Commentary: We handed the blog over to Bri {with some help from Lulu} a couple of weeks ago so that she could share some thoughts on the “important” things, like a new walk-in closet and the beauty of a good high heel. We plan to continue Bri’s column in the future, but you can see what she has said so far here!

IMG_0867Most Helpful: Finally, Lulu received the Campus Snack Cart for Christmas and shared her thoughts on the amazing set here. It’s been a great addition to our doll collection, and it is definitely worth the price.

January was quite a fun month, and we hope February lives up to it! However, it would be hard not to with Valentine’s Day, a school vacation, and other creative posts to look forward to. How was your month?

xo, B
