Fairy Tale Week / Style

Hi!

Fairy Tale Week StyleOne of my favorite parts about fairy tales is imagining all of the beautiful clothes the princesses, fairies, and other characters wear, so I was so excited to write up a style post for this week’s theme! After searching Etsy shops, I found these four dresses that I think are simply stunning.

1. This pretty pastel-colored dress is inspired by the classic fairy tale, Alice’s Adventure’s In Wonderland. The pale blue color would look beautiful on dolls with brown or blonde hair, but with the right accessories, any doll could rock it!  And to top it off, the incredible details in the stitching and buttons create a timeless style.

When looking for fairy tale styles, try to find… soft colors that compliment your doll’s coloring.

2.  Your doll can get lost in a land of magic and mystery when wearing this medieval style outfit! The deep red cut of the dress not only has a flowing waistline, but also long sleeves with extra fabric, so even when your doll moves it will show off her fairy tale look. It also comes with a swirling golden corset that adds a bit of sparkle and shine.

When looking for fairy tale styles, try to find… flowing cuts that are simple, but elegant.

3. Inspired by Disney’s Little Mermaid movie, this blue dress is simple, but still bold and charming. The puffed sleeves and bright pieces make an altogether vintage look that is finished off by an over-sized bow. It’s both lovely and playful!

When looking for fairy tale styles, try to find… simple pieces in bright colors.

4. This turquoise dress is perfect for any fairy-tale-loving doll! The material is soft and shiny, and the accessories have small jewels to add a bit of embellishment and sparkle. With its gold accents and matching crown, it’s both whimsical and detailed.

When looking for fairy tale styles, try to find… accessories that shimmer!

What fairy tale character’s style do you like the best? I love Little Red Riding Hood’s and Goldilocks’, and Bella chose Sleeping Beauty’s!

  1. Hey, Lulu, would you be interested in buying a Madeline Hatter doll from me? She is in good condition (she’s not new in box), however, she has only one shoe. I am willing to sell her for $17. Shipping is free. :) I don’t have her on Ebay but maybe you could email me your address if you do want her.

    • Hi Violet! Thanks so much for asking! I’m not looking to get any more dolls at the moment (I’m waiting for Cedar Wood to come out:)) but I appreciate the offer.

  2. There are so many great fairy tales out there I even like the older, darker versions of the tales. Snow White & Rose Red is one of my favorite tales. (Not to be confused with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves). Cinderella has always been a favorite and Sleeping Beauty too.
